FORMATION, DIVISIONAL & UNIT
MARKINGS

The Common Wealth Forces used formation signs to allow easy identification of the serving units.  They were first started in WWI and introduced again in WWII, they were worn on uniforms, hats as well as on the units vehicles.  Some of these formation markings are still used by serving forces today.
